The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.

Wednesday, May 2nd

[San Ramon] 1:00 PM – Firefighters were called to rescue a student trapped in an elevator at California High School. The student was quickly freed.

Thursday, May 3rd

[San Ramon] 5:00 PM – Police responded to a report that a subject sleeping in the lobby of Crow Canyon Cinema became verbally aggressive with staff when he awoke.

[Danville] 5:30 PM – Police responded to a report of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance in the downtown area. He was taken into custody on the campus of San Ramon Valley High School.

Friday, May 4th

[San Ramon] 4:00 AM – Police responded to 911 call from a room at Extended Stay Hotel. The disoriented caller stated he had woken up from a bad dream and repeatedly apologized to the dispatcher – saying he did “stupid thing” by watching a repeat episode of the Big Bang Theory.

Saturday, May 5th

[Alamo] 9:00 AM – Deputies received a citizen’s report that a driver traveling on Livorna Road hurled a banana peel out of the vehicle window.

Monday, May 7th

[San Ramon] 6:00 AM – Officers pursued shoplifting suspects into Alamo. Story here.

[Blackhawk] 1:30 AM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a vehicle vs. building. A driver in a vehicle had collided with the Bank of America. No injuries were reported.

Tuesday, May 8th

[San Ramon] 11:30 AM – Police received a citizen’s report of geese in the In-N-Out drive through, impeding traffic.

Wednesday, May 16th

[San Ramon] 10:00 PM – Police stopped multiple vehicles after citizens reported “sideshow” activity in the Dougherty Road / Bollinger Canyon Road area.

[San Ramon] 1:00 PM – Firefighters rescued a male subject trapped in a pilates studio bathroom.

Thursday, May 17th

[San Ramon] 4:30 AM – Police captured a suspect after a resident reported someone attempting to burglarize their residence. Neighbors provided officers with a description prior to the arrest.

Saturday, May 19th

[San Ramon] 11:30 AM – Police pursued a vehicle into Castro Valley. The driver had warrants for his arrest.

[San Ramon] 6:30 AM – Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run near Indian Rice Road. The license plate of the suspect vehicle was left at the scene with debris. Officers arrested the driver for DUI at a residence in Blackhawk.

Monday, May 21st

[San Ramon] 1:00 AM – Police responded to a citizen’s report of groomsmen fighting at the Bridges Golf Club following an event at the location. Officers contacted multiple individuals who claimed the altercation was only verbal.

[Danville] 2:00 AM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a subject experiencing a headache after consuming too much soda

[San Ramon] 2:00 AM – Police were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated subject causing a disturbance at Crown Billiards. The caller reported the subject was verbally threatening the establishment owner.

Wednesday, May 23rd

[San Ramon] 12:00 AM – Police responded to a report of an intoxicated subject wearing a “Durant” basketball jersey causing a disturbance and yelling at no one in particular. He was placed in custody for being drunk in public.

Friday, May 25th

[Danville] 7:00 PM – Police responded to a report of juveniles hurling fruit at passing vehicles.

Saturday, May 26th

[Danville] 7:30 PM – Officers contacted a suspicious subject in a vehicle after a student reported he was looking at students preparing for a prom event at San Ramon Valley School. Police confirmed the subject was hired school security.

[Blackhawk] 10:00 PM – Deputies were called after a parent entered a prom event and yelled at his daughter.

[Danville] 10:30 PM – Officers were dispatched to a report of juveniles shooting fireworks and doing donuts in the parking lot of Monte Vista School. Witnesses told arriving officers the perps had fled.

[Alamo] 11:30 PM – Deputies responded to a report of a vehicle vs. building at Chevron Gas. The collision caused minor damage.

[Blackhawk] 11:30 PM – Deputies investigating a noise complaint at a residence detained multiple party goers for being intoxicated in a public place.

Sunday, May 27th

[Blackhawk] 11:00 PM – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious juveniles in a vehicle with flashlights – when confronted, they told the caller they were “looking for a teddy bear.”

Monday, May 28th

[San Ramon] 12:00 PM – Officers responded to a report of juveniles dropping watermelon on parked vehicles near the Art and Wind Festival – the perps reportedly fled on scooters.

Tuesday, May 29th

[San Ramon] 3:30 PM – Police were dispatched to a report of an interrupted residential burglary on Stoney Creek Dr – the homeowner witnessed the suspects flee in a vehicle.

Wednesday, May 30th

[San Ramon] 8:30 AM – Paramedics were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian vs. bicycle collision on the Iron Horse Trail. The victim was reportedly a student.
