Weekly Drama: December 2016 – Week Three

The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.

Saturday, December 17th

[Danville] 4:00 PM – Officers were called to investigate a report of a subject wearing a reindeer hat being verbally aggressive and soliciting in a neighborhood. Later, San Ramon Police received a similar report of an individual wearing a santa hat going door to door.

[San Ramon] 8:00 PM – Police responded to a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident on Bollinger Canyon Road. The teenage victim was airlifted. More info here.

Sunday, December 18th

[Danville] 12:00 PM – Contra Costa Animal Control received a report of a mountain lion sighting on Highland Drive at Highland Court.

Monday, December 19th

[San Ramon] 12:00 AM – Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in an apartment complex on Harness Drive. A victim was airlifted following the incident. More info here.

[Danville] 3:00 AM – Officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a big rig accident on I-680. The driver later died of his injuries. More info here.

[Alamo] 10:00 AM – Paramedics were called to aid a Walnut Creek Police motorcycle officer who was struck by a vehicle near the Alamo Elementary School.

[Alamo] 2:30 PM – Deputies responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the parking lot of CVS. The vehicle was later found after it crashed in Oakland. More info here.

[Danville] 5:30 PM – Police responded to a report of a horse drawn carriage traveling significantly slower than the flow of traffic, without lights, on Camino Tassajara.

Wednesday, December 21st

[Danville] 10:30 AM – Paramedics were called to the Chamois Car Wash after an employee reportedly was injured when he became pinned in between two vehicles.

Thursday, December 22nd

[Danville] 11:00 AM – Officers responded to a report of a road rage incident in which an elderly driver reportedly punched a window and spat on another driver. The unhappy man was not located.

[San Ramon] 2:00 PM – Paramedics and police responded to a report that a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle in front of In-N-Out. The bicyclist had minor injuries.

[San Ramon] 10:00 PM – Police received over 5 reports of juveniles in a pickup truck “egging” vehicles and citizens near Dougherty Valley High School.

Friday, December 23rd

[San Ramon] 5:00 PM – Officers investigating a reported residential burglary discovered the only thing missing from the residence was a piece of pumpkin pie. Officers may have taken the pie for further “investigation” back at the station.
