San Ramon man arrested for Fairfield vehicle burglary

VACAVILLE – A San Ramon man was arrested after a suspicious vehicle call connected him to a burglary that occurred Wednesday night in Fairfield.

According to the Vacaville Police Department, officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle near Peabody Road early Thursday morning. Officers arrived and located a man, who they later identified as Joshua Scott, 32, of San Ramon, inside the vehicle.

During their investigation, officers located a stolen license plate on the vehicle, along with tools and broken glass inside the vehicle. Officers located the owner of the tools and determined they had been stolen during a Wednesday night vehicle burglary in Fairfield.

Scott was arrested for burglary, possession of stolen property and several drug offenses.
