Driver Brandishes Handgun in San Ramon Road Rage Incident

SAN RAMON – A man allegedly threatened another motorist with a dark colored handgun in an apparent road range incident Wednesday evening.

At around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, officers with the San Ramon Police Department received a report that a man had brandished a handgun while driving a vehicle near the intersection of Dougherty Road and Crow Canyon Road.

The victim told police that the gun was seen during a road rage altercation near the intersection.

A lone suspect allegedly showed the victim a holstered handgun while both people were inside their respective vehicles in the roadway.

The vehicle was reportedly last seen at the intersection of Bollinger Canyon Road and Dougherty Road.

After a search of the area, the suspect was not located.

The victim provided officers with a description of the suspect and a license plate of the vehicle. Reports indicated that the suspect may be from out of town.

Unconfirmed reports also indicate that the suspect police are investigating may have a handgun registered under his name.
