Danville Cops to host ‘Pizza with the Police’

DANVILLE – In their continuing efforts to promote a solid collaboration with the community, the Danville Police Department is inviting Danville residents to come have a slice of pizza and get to know their police department.

Police Chief Allan Shields said the upcoming Pizza with the Police is a great way for the public to interact with their police in a non-stress environment.

“So often when people have an interaction with police, it can be very stressful,” Shields said. “Sitting down for some food and just talking is a much better way for people to meet and get to know us.”

The event is set for 6:30-8:00 p.m., April 24, 2018 at Mountain Mike’s, 130 Hartz Avenue. Residents are encouraged to come down, have dinner and meet with the officers who will be on hand. During the event, Mountain Mike’s is offering 40% off any large pizza.
