Weekly Drama: April 2016 – Week Two

The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week.

Monday, April 11th

[Danville] 8 AM: CHP responded to a report of a hit-and-run involving a middle school student in the Shadow Creek neighborhood (read more).

Wednesday, April 13th

[Diablo] 10 AM: The Sheriff responded to a report of a male subject with tattoos attempting to siphon and steal gas from vehicles on Alameda Diablo Rd. It appears the suspect was not located.

[San Ramon] 10:45 AM: The San Ramon Valley Fire Department responded to assist a female stuck in an elevator at Bishop Ranch 9. Maintenance staff was able to rescue her before firefighters arrived.

Friday, April 15th

[San Ramon] 1 AM: A San Ramon mother wanted for warrants evaded police in the Windemere neighborhood, leaving her young daughter behind as she fled. It’s unknown if the suspect was eventually located.

[Blackhawk] 8AM: CHP was advised that a blue Jeep rammed through the Blackhawk security gate to get into the neighborhood. The vehicle caused property damage to the gate.

[Danville] 4 PM: Police were notified of a vehicle accident involving a school bus on the freeway, just before the Diablo Rd exit. Multiple officers responded and confirmed there were no injuries.

[San Ramon] 9:30 PM: Police were dispatched to a report that a Prius driver assaulted another driver after both vehicles pulled over on Bollinger Canyon Rd. The suspect had fled when officers arrived.

[San Ramon] 11:00 PM: Police responded to the McDonald’s after employees reported that an intoxicated male attempted to walk through the drive-thu while drinking from a cup. At some point, the individual vomited, but it’s unknown if that was before or after he said “super size me.”

[San Ramon] A few moments later, the San Ramon Valley Fire Department responded to a report of a Porta-Potty on fire in front of a residence on Thunderbird Dr. Firefighters arrived and got the blaze under control.

Saturday, April 16th

[San Ramon] 7:30 PM: CHP was advised of a deer running through lanes of north-bound 680 at Crow Canyon Rd.

[Danville] 10:30 PM: Police were dispatched to a report of suspicious juveniles dancing to loud music, getting their boogie on in the parking lot of Sycamore Valley Park.

[Alamo] 11 PM: Sheriffs officers were dispatched to multiple reports of a male assaulting a female while she was screaming for help in the parking lot of a church on Danville Boulevard. Danville PD officers responded to assist the Sheriff’s Office and located the individuals.

[San Ramon] 11 PM: Officers were dispatched to a report of vehicles revving their engines in the Walmart parking lot (yes, San Ramon has a Walmart).

[San Ramon] A few moments later, an officer discovered a fight at The Golden Skate. It was quickly mitigated.

[San Ramon] 11:30 PM: Police were notified of a large group of juveniles running through the streets near Aranda Dr.

Sunday, April 17th

[San Ramon] 3 PM: Officers were dispatched to a report of a homeless subject sleeping under a tree with an empty can of beer nearby at Memorial Dog Park. Officers located the individual.

[San Ramon] 4 PM: Firefighters and police were dispatched to a major vehicle accident on Ivy Leaf Springs Dr. A helicopter was requested to airlift a seriously injured patient, but was canceled soon after. Both victims were transported by ground ambulance.
