San Ramon Police recover $10k in stolen meds during traffic stop

SAN RAMON – Police recovered thousands of dollars worth of stolen property, including a large amount of over-the-counter meds during a traffic stop Monday afternoon.

Police say they received a call from an employee at Safeway on Bollinger Canyon Road reporting suspects had left the store without paying for over-the-counter medicine.

Officers located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop near Bollinger Canyon Road. During the stop, police recovered over $10,000 in stolen over-the-counter medicine and $2,000 in other stolen merchandise from other “local retailers.”

The two suspects were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
