Detectives investigating two Blackhawk burglaries reported Memorial Day weekend

BLACKHAWK – Detectives are working to find a possible link between two burglaries reported in the gated community of Blackhawk on Memorial Day weekend.

According to a Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at about 8:55 AM, Deputy Sheriffs responded to a home on the 3800 block of Deer Trail Drive in Blackhawk for a report of a burglary.

Later in the day, at about 5:23 PM, Deputies went to a home on the 3800 block of Cottonwood Drive after a resident discovered that his home was burglarized.

In both cases, the suspects, who fled the scene, entered the homes through rear patio doors. Personal items and property were missing at both locations, the spokesperson said.

Detectives are investigating both burglaries and trying to determine if the two are linked.

Anyone with any information on these incidents is asked to contact the Office of the Sheriff at (925) 313-2600.
