Weekly Drama: October 2016 – Week One

The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.

Monday, October 4th

[San Ramon] 6:00 PM – Officers responded to a report that an intoxicated subject walked out of Buffalo Wild Wings before falling into a nearby bush.

Tuesday, October 5th

[San Ramon] 5:00 PM – Police received a report that juveniles were taking trash from a skatepark trash can and were throwing it at each other.

Wednesday, October 6th

[San Ramon] 7:00 PM – Police were notified of a juvenile stockpiling a cache of airsoft weapons at a residence. It’s unknown if officers actually responded to the residence.

[San Ramon] 8:00 PM – Police were dispatched to a report that four subjects dressed in clown costumes and clown masks were walking in Hidden Valley Park. Officers were unable to locate the subjects, but spoke with the caller who said she reported the sighting almost 20 minutes after she saw the subjects.

Thursday, October 7th

[San Ramon] 7:00 PM – Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a grass fire on the hill between Norris Canyon Road and Crow Canyon Road. The fire was quickly contained, but reports of a juvenile running from the fire raised suspicion about how the blaze was started.

[San Ramon] 9:00 PM – School officials asked police to patrol the area of the Hidden Hills School after staff found a large group of juveniles armed with baseball bats saying they wanted to “fight clowns.” Their parents were contacted.

[San Ramon] 9:30 PM – Police recieved a report of a suspicious circumstance at a residence after a homeower returned home to find decorative bark arranged to form the word “clown” on the porch.

Friday, October 8th

[Alamo] 6:30 PM – Regional Parks Police responded to a report of a subject “squirting” passing joggers on the Iron Horse Trail from behind a fence. A large, upset group formed to confront the individual.

Sunday, October 9th

[San Ramon] 12:30 AM – Police responded to a report of a driver dragging a roll of toilet paper from his vehicle as he drove down the street.

[San Ramon] 12:30 AM – Firefighters responded to a report of an unconscious, intoxicated 15-year-old at an underage party. He was transported to the hospital.

[San Ramon] 8:00 PM – Police responded to a report of a fight at the Firehouse No. 37 bar & grill during the presidential debate. Patrons pinned a subject to the ground until police arrived.

[Danville] 10:00 PM – Police were dispatched to a report of a subject with no pants walking near the freeway on Sycamore Valley Road. He was not located.

Monday, October 10th

[Alamo] 9:00 PM – Police responding to a burglar alarm activation at a residence heard strange noises coming from inside the residence. Upon making entry, they found pigme goats inside the garage of the home.

Wednesday, October 12th

[Alamo] 11:00 AM – A suspicious circumstance in which a woman was seen placing an unwilling child into her vehicle after refusing to identify herself as the child’s parent created a scene at Rancho Romero School. Deputies responded and staff took a roll call of all students, who were all accounted for. It’s unknown where the involved child or adult came from, but their photos were unrecognized by any school staff. They were not located.

Thursday, October 13th

[San Ramon] 10:00 AM – Police were dispatched to a report of a woman urinating and showering near the Dougherty Library. She appeared to be living out of a nearby vehicle.

[Danville] 12:00 PM – Animal control dispatched a deer who was struck by a vehicle on Blackhawk Road.

[Danville] 12:30 PM – Police responded to a report of Jehovah’s Witnesses “preaching” in a neighborhood. The caller thought they were suspicious because they didn’t seem to have great knowledge of the topic.

[Danville] 3:00 PM – Iver was placed in custody after he threatened a woman and her baby while they were walking on the Iron Horse Trail.

Friday, October 14th

[San Ramon] 10:30 AM – Firefighters worked to extinguish multiple fires sparked by wires at the PG&E substation on Alcosta Boulevard.

[San Ramon] 6:30 PM – Police were dispatched to a report of suspicious subjects after a group of juveniles ran from firefighters attempting to extinguish a suspicious porty potty fire at Montevideo School.
