Weekly Drama: June 2016 – Weeks Four & Five

Sunday, June 19th

[Danville] 11:30 PM – Police and CHP responded to a report of a vehicle accident on I-680 in which a pickup truck was hit and ended up facing the wrong direction on the highway with its lights off. After the accident took place, the truck was hit and ended up under a big rig. Danville Police officers responded and rendered aid until firefighters arrived.

Monday, June 24th

[San Ramon] 12:30 PM – Firefighters and police officers responded to a report of a drowning at the San Ramon Olympic Pool. Lifeguards conducted CPR and used an AED in an effort to revive the victim. Read more here.

Tuesday, June 21st

[Danville] 5:30 PM – Police responded to a report of a suspicious person seated in a lawn chair behind a pickup truck drinking a beer. It’s unknown if it was the “America” brand.

[San Ramon] 9:00 PM – Police were dispatched to a neighbor dispute after a neighbor’s dog killed another neighbor’s chickens.

[Alamo] 11:00 PM – Deputies were called to a report of subjects trespassing at the Round Hill Country Club. Juveniles were seen jumping the fence and sitting in the hot tub of the complex.

Wednesday, June 22nd

[Danville] 4:00 AM – Danville Police arrested three for drugs, burglary tools

Thursday, June 23rd

[Danville] 7:00 PM – A child was airlifted after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike at the intersection of San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Greenbrook Dr. See the full story here.

Sunday, June 26th

[Danville] 1:00 AM – Multiple agencies received reports of loud noises across the San Ramon Valley. All of noises were confirmed to be from illegal fireworks.

[Danville] 5:00 PM – San Ramon Valley firefighters were dispatched to a report of “smoking trees” in the backyard of a residence on Edinburgh Circle. They arrived and found light smoke, but mitigated the problem.

[Danville] 9:30 PM – Officers responded to a report that Iver was yelling and cursing behind Uncle Wang’s Restraunt.

Wednesday, June 29th

[Blackhawk] 12:00 PM – Firefighters responded to a report of a vegetation fire behind the Blackhawk Plaza. Resources from CAL Fire, Alameda County Fire and Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office helped fight the 5-10 acre blaze. Read about the cause of the fire here.

[MtDiablo] 1:00 PM – Firefighters worked with CHP and Sheriff’s Office helicopters to rescue a fallen hiker at Rock City and a woman who fell from a horse in Macedo Ranch.

[Danville] 7:30 PM – Police were called to the Trader Joe’s market after a man wearing pajama pants was seen shoplifting from the location. Officers found the man nearby and recovered the alcohol and cookies that he allegedly stole.

Friday, July 1st

[San Ramon] 1:00 PM – The Las Trampas Regional Wilderness staging area (San Ramon side) was temporarily closed for a hazardous materials investigation. Officers from the East Bay Regional Park District called the fire department when they found two suspicious bottles of an unknown liquid. Read about the outcome and details here.

[Blackhawk] 4:00 PM – A helicopter airlifted a victim of a hand saw accident.

[Tassajara] 4:30 PM – Deputies responded to a report of suspicious “buckets of money” on the porch of a residence.

[San Ramon] 8:00 PM – Police responded to a report of subjects shoplifting copious amounts of baby formula from Safeway. Officers chased the suspects into Oakland at speeds over 100 MPH. Read full story here.

Saturday, July 2nd

[Danville] 6:00 PM – Police responded to the Taco Bell after suspects allegedly grabbed money from the cash register and fled. They were not located.

[Danville] 11:00 PM – We received a report from a follower that hooded people were dumping water on sidewalks were people had attempted to reserve spots for the Fourth of July Parade.
