Weekly Drama: January 2018 – Week One

The Weekly Drama is an overview of Police/Fire incidents (newsworthy or not) that took place in the San Ramon Valley during the week, but never made news headlines.

Monday, January 1st

[Danville] 7:30 PM – Police and Animal Control were dispatched to Glen Road after two dogs reportedly attacked a citizen on foot. The victim received medical attention. The incident marked the second time in recent months dogs reportedly attacked a citizen on Glen Road. During the first incident, officers were forced to pepper spray the animals.

Tuesday, January 2nd

[Alamo] 12:00 PM – Paramedics were called to aid a driver experiencing a medical emergency on I-680. They conducted CPR on the unresponsive patient and transported them to the hospital.

[San Ramon] 1:00 PM – Firefighters were called to extinguish a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Athan Downs Park.

Wednesday, January 3rd

[Danville] 8:00 AM – Police lost sight of a motorcycle that fled from officers on I-680 near Walnut Creek.

[San Ramon] 11:00 AM – Police responded to a report that a subject exposed himself to a pedestrian after asking where the school was. He fled in a vehicle but was arrested shortly after at his residence in San Ramon.

[San Ramon] 12:00 PM – Officers were called to corral a herd of cattle in the roadway. The cows were quickly mooooved.

[San Ramon] 4:00 PM – Paramedics treated a driver for minor injuries after their van was involved in a rollover vehicle collision.

Thursday, January 4th

[Danville] 2:30 PM – Police took the driver of a stolen vehicle into custody after a brief pursuit through downtown. The driver’s child was located inside the vehicle.

Friday, January 5th

[San Ramon] 4:00 PM – Paramedics extracted the driver of a vehicle that was 10 feet off the roadway after a collision on Norris Canyon Road.

Saturday, January 6th

[San Ramon] 12:00 PM – Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious subject ringing doorbells because he “needed someone to talk to.” Officers attempted to locate (and talk to) the subject, but could not locate him.

Sunday, January 7th

[Danville] 3:00 AM – Officers responded to a report of an alarm activation at a fitness business on Hartz Avenue. Upon arriving, they found signs of forcible entry and burglary. No suspect was located, despite a canine track.

[San Ramon] 3:00 PM – Multiple victims were transported to local hospitals after a vehicle collision on Alcosta Blvd.

Week One

[San Ramon] – Police were notified of 15+ coyote sightings in the Dougherty area during December 2017 and January 2018.
