Suspicious Vehicle Call Turns into San Ramon Pursuit

At approximately 9:15 a.m. Friday morning, San Ramon PD officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Feathermint Drive. A responding officer observed that a vehicle parked on Feathermint Drive had a broken window, evidence of a possible vehicle burglary.

Within seconds of the officer’s arrival, she witnessed a vehicle fleeing the area and immediately attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle did not yield to the officer, so a pursuit was initiated. The vehicle fled south-bound Bollinger Canyon Rd toward Dublin at approximately 65 MPH.

As more officers joined the pursuit, they had a difficult time pursuing the vehicle in the rain into Dublin, and eventually onto west-bound 580. The officers were unable to get the vehicle stopped, and the license plate is possibly registered as a rental car from Los Angeles.

No further details are available.
