19-Year-Old Arrested For Allegedly Burglarizing Danville Restaurant

DANVILLE – A 19-year-old Orinda man was arrested after officers responded to an alarm at a local restaurant Thursday night.

According to Danville Police Chief Steve Simpkins, at around 11:25 pm Thursday night, officers responded to an alarm activation at El Nido restaurant, located on the 100 block of Town and Country Drive in Danville.

During their investigation, officers found 19-year-old Orinda resident Tucker Topel in the area of the restaurant, Simpkins said.

Officers placed Topel in custody for burglary a short time later.

Police reportedly found broken glass and signs of forced entry upon arriving at the business, located on the second level of the shopping center.
