PG&E responds to report of a gas leak in Danville’s Livery Shopping Center

DANVILLE – Firefighters and PG&E crews determined there was no gas leak, despite reports of natural gas in the Livery Shopping Center off Sycamore Valley Road W. in Danville.

At around 11:00 am Wednesday morning, the San Ramon Valley Fire Department received reports indicating the smell of natural gas in the Livery Shopping Center.

Crews arrived on scene and immediately evacuated a few businesses while they attempted to locate the leak. Upon further investigation, the department’s Hazardous Materials Response Unit was dispatched, along with more resources from the fire department.

PG&E crews arrived at the scene around 11:40 am and met with firefighters.

Update: At around 12:25 pm, crews determined there was no gas leak, but the odor could be coming from the sewer system.
