Danville Tree Lighting Set for Friday November 25th

The perfect way to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving…a wonderful evening that includes a visit from Father Christmas and the Snow Angel. Come downtown for this great annual tradition, the Lighting of the Old Oak Tree.

Starting at 5:00 p.m., residents can come downtown, check out all the great Danville shops, sample the amazing foods and listen to fantastic music. Several areas through the downtown will feature performers.

Leading up to the tree lighting, the San Ramon Valley High School Chorus and other groups will be performing near the reviewing stand on Diablo Rd. Then, when the time is right, Father Christmas and the Snow Angel will come out to address the crowd. The Snow Angel will sprinkle her magic dust and the tree will spring to light!

Diablo Road, Prospect Avenue and Hartz Avenue will be closed from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. for this holiday tradition. See attached map for details on the road closures.
